5-25-13 Napoleon is Deaf, and comes into rescue as an owner surrender from TN. The owner felt that they were not able to provide a happy environment for Napoleon. They want the best for him, and they went out of their way to bring him across multiple state lines. He is 1.5 years old and weighs 40 pounds. We were told that he likes other dogs, yet we will give him a few days before we start the introductions.

Hadley

5-10-12 Hadley comes from a Southern Michigan shelter where he was doing his second tour. The shelter was concerned with Hadley's growing mouthy and pushy behavior when the volunteers were interacting with him. We had an ACD experienced volunteer go in and meet him to see if he was trying to be a "bad" dog or was he just using pent up energy and trying to buffalo the shelter workers. He is not a bad dog in our opinion, and is being given a chance to come to rescue where he can interact with other ACD's. His first day here has been very positive, he seems to like the play group he was introduced to. He does want the attention that is being given to one of the other dogs, but will learn that his turn comes around when he behaves.

Hadley is around 3-4 years old, a dark blue color, and has a long tail. He weighs 46 pounds, and know some basic commands.

9-28-11 Allaster was HW re-tested, and is now showing NEGATIVE. We are so pleased for Allaster.

6-28-11 Allaster's vetting was done, and we find that he is HW positive. He is testing a light positive, so we will start him on the 30 day pre-treatment, along with limited activity. Then continue on with additional oral medication given monthly. We will retest in 90-120 days. Yet, Allaster can have a meet and greet and even a forever home, as the medication will be sent along with him. Allaster continues to be a friendly boy and waits by your feet instead of jumping up on you. I like that!

6-16-11 Allaster comes into rescue from a Southern MI shelter. We are seeing a very nice tempered boy, with paperwork showing him around 3 years old. His teeth look like he is a mature adult male.

Our adoption fee covers the spay / neutering, heart worm testing, rabies, distemper combo, microchipping and any other medical that a dog may need. Please consider a rescue that comes to you with all of the routine medical done.

RECLAIMED!
Lost Dogs Reclaimed by Owners. The dogs were completely vetted before the owners called about them. They were spayed/neutered, rabies, distemper booster, heart worm tested, microchipped, nail trimming, dentals, and HW preventative. The 3 Lost Heelers will remain on our website, in hopes that their vetting will be taken care of by their owners.

"Konnan / Biggens"
Reclaimed!

Konnan
The 3 Lost Heelers will remain on our website, in hopes that their vetting will be taken care of by their owners.

8-6-11 The three lost Blue Heelers (formerly known as the Triple K adults) were reclaimed by their owners. As you can see by the picture, they were happy to see their people. The dogs were completely vetted on Monday along with being microchipped. Their nails were trimmed up on Monday, and we gave some advice on how to keep them trimmed up. Of course, most heelers don't like them trimmed up, but it needs to be done. Their names are Biggens, Aussie and Gigi.

7-27-11 Konnan, Kricket and Kalliope come into rescue after being found on State Land on the east side of the state. They are scared and bewildered of why they were abandoned. They are chubby so someone did care for them at one time. They appear to have been used for breeding, as they are intact. They appear to have been indoor dogs or didn't get much exercise, as their nails are super long. The male (Konnan) cannot stand up for long periods of time, as his feet hurt him. The females have obviously had litters in the past. The trio doesn't seem to know what a crate is, but they do know what going for a ride is.

Our adoption fee covers the spay / neutering, heart worm testing, rabies, distemper combo, microchipping and any other medical that a dog may need. Please consider a rescue that comes to you with all of the routine medical done.
